As many of us at Oliver Ames High School know by now, midyear exams are slowly creeping up on us. You can’t avoid them, so why not be prepared? Here’s the midyear schedule for this year.
Our first day of midyears is on Tuesday, January 17th. On this day, we have two midyears, one for A block and one for B block. The A block midyear starts at 8:30, ending at 10. The B block midyear starts at 10:30, and ends at 12:00.
Wednesday, January 18th, is when the C and D block midyears occur. The C block midyear starts at 8:30, and the D block midyear starts at 10:30. This schedule is the same on the previous day as well.
Thursday, January 19th, is the day of the E and F block midyears. E block is first at 8:30, and F block begins at 10:30.
On the final day, Friday, January 20th, there is only one midyear and it is G block. It starts at 8:30 and ends at 10:30.
As you can see, the midyears begin each day at 8:30, compared to the usual start of our school day, which is 7:55. The first midyear each day ends at 10:00, giving students a 30 minute break before their next final at 10:30. After the second midyear of the day is finished, high school students at OA are free to go home at 12:30. Unless it’s the G block midyear, then students may leave at 10:00.
