Friday 5: Skylar Wluka

October 21, 2022 By Ali Manson

Q: You are top of the school, does it mean anything to you? Do you see a change?

A: To me, being top at the school as a senior means that being a role model to the underclassmen and growing together as a grade is the priority now.

Q: What are you looking forward to most this year?

A: I am looking most forward to our grade growing together and hopefully being less cliquey and being more of a family like the class of 2022 was.

Q: Are you taking challenging courses this year? Give an example.

A: The only course that I am challenging myself with is accounting with Mr. Cahill. I have learned a lot from him as a teacher regarding the subject of business and it will definitely stay with me as I pursue my business endeavors.

Q: Do you have any plans yet for your future?

A: I will be attending Toni & Guy for beauty school and then I will continue to work at Dangelos and intern at a salon before moving to North Carolina in a couple of years to settle there and attend business school so that I can open my own salon.

Q: Do you feel like you are pressured as a senior to have your life together?

A: Yes, but it is good timing for pressure. This is the time to start focusing on a future and solidifying plans.
