My name is Juliana Ferrara and I am a senior here at OA and one of the 10 students taking senior project with Mr. Goldberg this school year.
Senior project is a full year class where you plan and create a big project with a final goal you want to accomplish. This project can be anything you are passionate about. For example, this year’s class has all sorts of ideas. From cook books to sports clinics to video game design and animation. Anything you can think of can be turned into an amazing senior project idea.
My experience with this class hasn’t been anything less than an amazing opportunity. I highly recommend this to anyone willing to challenge themselves outside of academics. This class may not be seen as challenging from the outside but it can be depending on your project. For my project I plan to accomplish many ambitious goals so at first I was nervous, but this is a very well organized class where you can mostly work on your own timeline.
Senior project is a perfect fit for those who have strong passions they want to share with the community. And for those willing to stretch their learning and challenge themselves. This class also sounds really impressive when it comes to anything you have planned after high school. I would definitely consider taking this class when your senior year rolls around.
