What are your plans for after high school? (college, military, gap year, etc)
I plan on attending Salisbury University in Salisbury, Maryland to get my undergraduate’s degree in business and communications with a multimedia journalism track and a minor in psychology.
What is one regret you have from your 4 years at OA?
My biggest regret in my 4 years at OA is not taking freshman year seriously enough. Trying to dig my GPA out of the absolute sinkhole I created was incredibly difficult. My GPA to this day still isn’t nearly as good as it could be and it definitely affected my college application process.
Is there any person at OA in particular you’d like to thank? If so, why?
There are a handful of people I would like to thank, Mr. Cahill, Mrs. Gove, Mr. Schussler, and Nurse LeBlanc. Mr. Cahill for helping me pursue business in his accounting and marketing classes. Mrs. Gove for trying to help me take my grades more seriously especially in Latin freshman through junior year. Mr. Schussler for getting me into writing for the Daily Olivian and later pursuing it in college. And finally but certainly not least, Mrs. LeBlanc because she has been there for me throughout all of high school and I wouldn’t have made it through without her.
Are there any careers you are thinking of after school?
My goal is to become a journalist, I don’t really know what type of journalism I would pursue but a dream of mine has always been something fashion-related.
What’s your best memory from OA?
My best memory from OA was probably the senior lunch our class executive board organized for us seniors in place of some of the other events we lost. It was just really nice to get to hang out with my friends at a school event and see the rest of our grade. Also it was a really nice way to wrap up school spirit week.
