Esmée Silverman (she/her) is a senior at Oliver Ames High School, where she is president of the schools Gender Sexuality Alliance, a co-creator/co-leader of the schools Mental Health Club, and has started several in school initiatives, such as Transgender Day of Visibility and Pronoun Day.
She began writing for the Daily Olivian during her Junior year, and has become a regular contributor since. Currently, she is managing the groups social media presence, and chips in a variety of different articles, especially ones on local and national social justice initiatives.
She is a Pisces, a creative visionary, and has a keen interest in outside the box thinking. Outside of school, you can find her playing sports, working on GLSENs National Student Council, writing movie scripts, and socializing with anyone willing to have a discussion.
