5 Questions with OA science teacher Mrs. Makrinos!
Q: What was your favorite subject in high school and college?
A: Definitely biology! It’s what inspired me to become a teacher. Also, I loved environmental science because my teacher let us kayak around on the lake near our school to take water samples. I also LOVED chamber choir and guitar class.
Q: What’s your favorite thing about Autumn?
A: My favorite thing about Fall has got to be APPLE CIDER DONUTS!
Q: What is your favorite TV show right now and why?
A: It’s a tie between The Mandalorian and Great British Bake Off. The Mandalorian because Baby Yoda is the cutest thing I may have ever seen, and Bake Off because it’s relaxing and just some good-hearted television.
Q: What is your favorite Thanksgiving food and why?
A: The turkey. I love cooking full birds… sounds odd but the fruits of my labor at the end make it the tastiest thing to me.
Q: How are you feeling right now?
A: I’m feeling grateful. I am so happy to see students every day right now, and I am so thankful for all that I have during these odd times.
