Kate Mccormick, Class of 2021
“For me personally I find it extremely difficult to adjust to hybrid school. Some of the biggest problems I am facing with adjustment is not being able to enjoy classes as much as I used to just because of how different everything has to be. I am also finding it extremely difficult to form relationships with my teachers like I have been able to do in the past. I am still beyond grateful for the teachers and administrators at OA because they are making the best out of the situation in order for us to have a good school year. I am hoping that things will eventually get better as the year progresses and we get used to everything.”
Brendan Pione, Class of 2023
“They’re doing a good job maintaining distance and sanitizing everything”
Zoe George, Class of 2021
“It’s been weird, I was expecting the one way hallways, but to see it in person was definitely a lot odder than the thought of it. While the arrows are keeping us safer, it takes forever to get to classes now.”
Chidera Akanegbu, Class of 2021
“The one way hallways and staircases can get frustrating at times, and sometimes it takes a lot to keep up with the classes since they’re cut shorter.”
Emily Barnett, Class of 2022
“School has been as good as it can be! I prefer in-person because I feel more connected. The one way hallways are a hassle, but I understand why we need them. I miss the rotating schedule, I feel bad for my A block teacher because I’m not completely awake in the morning. However, the workload is great and I really enjoy the amount of time we have set aside to do work.”
Kaytee Marsh, Class of 2021
“I’m so excited to be back for senior year! I miss the normality but I’m excited to see our grade come together through this”
Lia Gomes, Class of 2021
“I prefer remote learning to an extent. It’s a lot simpler at times to just log on to class.”
Ava Hall, Class of 2021
“It’s challenging to adapt to all the new changes, I miss regular school”
Carolyn Flynn, Class of 2021
“I miss going to school with ALL my friends from my grade, It’s our senior year we might not see each other much after this I don’t get why we were split up by last names”
