On Monday (3.30), the MIAA Board of Directors voted to begin a spring high school sports season no earlier than May 4, contingent upon the ongoing disease spread.
The vote of the Board of Directions also would extend regular season and tournament games until June 27, 2020 with consideration of June 28, 2020 for weather and facility needs.
The vote provides a glimmer of hope for Spring athletes, whose season is in limbo because of the pandemic.
