As many of you may know, schools in Massachusetts will be closed until April 7th per word of Governor Baker. However, the CDC recently recommended that all organized events with 50 or more people should be halted from 2-4 weeks up to 8-20 weeks. As far as we know there are no implications for this recommendation at this time.
Furthermore, Collegeboard, the company responsible for administering SAT and AP testing, so far they have announced that the March makeups and May SATs have been canceled and they may potentially be looking to have students take the AP tests at home, more information can be found here regarding AP exams and here regarding SATs.
On the other hand, ACT tests have also been canceled and have been pushed out until June. Many colleges have had to have students leave for the time being and take online classes and even Northeastern has canceled their graduation ceremony.
Many teachers are looking to cooperate with students and parents for the time being as this break from school is unprecedented and sudden. Make sure to check your school and personal emails for any important information regarding plans or any other information.
