Boys basketballs fight continues after a dominating win over 15 seeded Hanover, 62-51. The first quarter ended with a close 12-11 lead by OA. Captain Ryan Burkett led the team sheet with 8 points and 3 rebounds. The rest of the half was back and forth ending with a Hanover lead of only 1. The third quarter was a defensive battle that was won by OA. This battle gave them a 12 point lead going into the fourth. From that point the game was all wrapped up, giving OA the win.
Ryan Burkett finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds. He was supported by Amari Browns 15 points and Evan Craigs 11 points.
After the game, Captain Jay Spillane explained that “Byron told us during a timeout with 3 minutes left as we were up by 13, that the game is not over, to not celebrate yet.”
