Boy’s Basketball Fighting for Elusive Playoff Spot

February 11, 2020 By The Daily Olivian

The boy’s basketball team faces a tough final stretch of the season, attempting to make playoffs by winning 2 out of the next three games. Those games will be against Franklin, KP, and Southeastern.

“Personally I’m feeling confident, and so is the rest of the team. We have been on a recent skid, but all of the games we lost in we have had a chance to win,” said captain Ryan Burkett.

Burkett knows the team has to pull through to make their 9-9 record to at least 11 wins to qualify. With Burkett averaging 12.5 a game and Jay Spillane averaging 12.3 a game, there is no doubt in my mind that they will pull through and make it to playoffs.

Their next game will be home today against Franklin. Tip-off is at 6:30 P.M.
