The town of Easton, as most people know know, has voted to create a new and unified elementary school near Parkview. But now, they are having another vote regarding the school – what to name it.
On February 13th, the town will meet in the OA lecture hall. People are allowed to have a short presentation about what to name the school and their reasons why. If you are you have an idea to name the new school, you must email Nancy DeLuca at ndeluca@easton.k12.ma.us with your idea and why by February 10th, and also attend the meeting on the 13th.
A popular name choice that had popped up is Blanche Ames Elementary, named after the botanist, illustrator, and suffragette. Some argue that since she has contributed so much to Easton she should be recognized alongside her male counterparts.
