OA hosts its annual Poetry Out Loud competition Thursday (Feb. 6) at 7 p.m. in the library.
Poetry Out Loud is a nationwide competition where students memorize their poems and are able present the poems with an authentic and expressive delivery.
The Poetry Out Loud competition at Oliver Ames High School is a school-level competition, with the winner advancing to the state semi-finals. There are 10 students competing this year: Allison Widdop, Jeffrey Li, Emma Hayes, Jack McCarthy, Sofia Anestam, Alex Roginsky, Theresa Saade, Lauren Berardi, and Megan Kelly.
One of these students will get the opportunity to go and compete at the state-semi finals on February 29th at the Hopkinton Center of Arts, after winning the school-wide competition. Good luck to all of the contestants!
