The Oliver Ames Girls Basketball team is coming into the 2019-2020 season looking for a vengeance with the hopes of another successful season. The captains for this upcoming season are both seniors, Megan Holleran and Erin Holmberg. The team is in good hands with the help from the state’s all-time winningest girls basketball coach, Elaine Clement-Holbrook
Megan Holleran has been playing basketball since the second grade. She has the leadership abilities to, not only make the players around her better, but to also further the limits of the team beyond recognition.
“We’re going to be pretty strong this year. We have a young team, so there’s a lot of time for growth. I’m excited to see what can accomplish this year.”
Erin Holmberg is also a captain, and she has a tremendous amount of confidence in her team. She puts value in the youth of her teammates. She also recognizes how important this team and this season is to her, as she plans to give it her all, on and off the court.
“I have a lot of faith in this skilled young team that we have here. With our strength and determination, we have the ability to accomplish something special this year.”
On Friday the 13th, the OA Girl’s Basketball team has their first game at home against Stoughton at 6:30pm.
