The Oliver Ames Swim Team is coming off of an excellent 2018-19 season with the boys going 5-2 and the Girls finishing undefeated, but the team will have big shoes to fill for the upcoming year due to the loss of 11 seniors from the 18-19 season.
While losing 11 seniors is no easy task, the swim team still has a very strong group of athletes, including the four girls who broke the record for the 200 freestyle relay in last seasons South Sectional Meet. There are 5 captains leading the team going into this season, Morgan O’Hara, Anthony Carreggi, Jessica Chiereghio, Ben Turner, and dive captain Hannah Melnick.
Captain Morgan O’Hara stated that they are all very excited for the season, and that she believes that “if we work hard and stay focused we will have an amazing year.” We’re all hoping that Swim can continue their success from last year into this season and have another great run, best of luck tigers.
