The next annual Powderpuff football game between the juniors and seniors will take place today on November 25th at Muscato Stadium. With hours until game time, the expected outcome is nothing short of senior dominance.
“We will win no matter what.” Those are strong words coming from the junior coach, Gavin Morrison. After a brief sit down with Morrison, he is confident about this upcoming game. For many years now, there has been a conspiracy that the game is rigged in favor of the seniors, but in the face of this adversity, Gavin believes in his team.
“We are going to play fast, physical and outsmart the seniors. We know what we’re doing, and we plan to fight to the very end. The outcome of this game will be a victory for us. I’ve never been more confident in my entire life.”
His star player, Caroline Flynn, looks to be the star quarterback on this junior offense. This accomplished athlete is a fierce competitor who backs down to no one. She knows her enemy and she understands what she must do to give the juniors a victory.
“I am better than Tate. I’m ready to punch. I am extremely confident in my throwing ability and my amazing teammates like Hannah Stryke, Allie Zwerle, Kate McCormick, Rachel Paul, and many more.”
On the senior side of things, another interview was conducted with coach Max Anderson and starting quarterback Tate Hadges. Senior coach Max Anderson is not in the slightest bit worried about this game. He believes his team is better in all aspects and that tomorrow night, the spectators will watch the seniors dominate.
“What you will see on the field is my girls out performing the junior class, plain and simple. We have the experience and we have a great coaching staff, and by 8pm monday night, I’ll be celebrating victory.”
Senior quarterback Tate Hadges is an all-around athlete. In last year’s powder puff game, she started a massive all-out brawl, leaving her opponents in fear. She plans to bounce back from last year’s loss, and do what she can to secure the win.
“The key is aggressiveness and Caroline Flynn is no competition. Our offense is a variety of everything. It’s a mixture of running and passing. Our defense is strong because of our quick runners and impenetrable blockers”
After hearing from both teams, I can still conclude this game is in favor of the seniors. According to Kelly in Vegas, the spread of the game is seniors -3.5. The juniors look hungry for a win, but it seems they underestimate the sheer strength and pure skill that the seniors possess. Both sides believe they have the upper hand and the smack talk has just begun, but only one team can come out victorious. Be there tonight at 6 to see who comes out on top.
