Yesterday, the town gathered together at OA to vote on the new elementary school. With an overwhelming vote of 3,298 in favor and 839 against, Easton approved funding for the new combined elementary school.
What this means is that property taxes on Easton households will increase in order to fund the building of the new school. The current elementary schools will no longer be used once the combined school is built near Parkview, and all PreK-2 students will attend the same school. Construction should start on the new site around 2021.
