The OA Boy’s Soccer, Girl’s Soccer, Field Hockey, Volleyball and Boy’s XC have made it to the playoffs. Here is a quick recap of the upcoming games and the games already played.
Boy’s soccer finished the season with 13 wins and 3 losses, winning the Kelly-Rex. Their seeding will come out this upcoming weekend. One of the captains, Matt Nosalek, said “the team is excited to show what we can do.” He added, “we can definitely make a run for the cup this year.”
The Girl’s soccer team finished with a record of 14-4-1. Their seeding will come out this weekend as well. Captain, Erin Holmberg feels that “with coach Scott’s recent passing, the team has come together.” Her and the team “all want to finish the season as strong as possible for him.”
Volleyball finished 13-3, tying first placed with 2 other teams in the Kelly-Rex. They will play Brockton in the 2nd round. Allie Kemp knows Brockton is a tough team but, “the team is very focused for their first game of the tournament.” Their first game was a BYE, therefore they will have home field advantage on the 4th at 6 P.M.
Boys XC is ranked first in the state for their division, after winning the Kelly-Rex. Under them, you can find Milton and Wakefield. One of the captains, Rory McLaughlin, feels that the ”guys always step up in the big races.” The team is very confident going into the race next week.
Field Hockey had their game on Wednesday against Braintree. Sadly, they lost 5-2. The girl’s put up a hard fight throughout the whole game. Kara Ostrander, one of the teams captain, said “the team was confident going into the game.” After a strong win against KP, the team had high hopes for the playoffs.
