11:25- As the lunch block ensues, student trickle in. In between the various entrances, nurse Leblanc reads and responds to emails. Every student that walks in is added to a constantly running list of why they came to the office, if they are treated, and what time they came and went. the room is orderly, friendly, and has an undying charisma of an efficient machine.
11:29- student flow in and out of the office for bandages, feminine products, and diabetic supplements most of the time. Although some diabetic students need assistance with their supplements, Nurse Leblanc always makes sure that the students are cared for regardless of their needs.
11:40- making phone calls is an important part of the day. Students need to have medical files reviewed, parents need to be informed about medications, and teachers need to know if their students got to the office in an orderly fashion. Except for some stragglers who come in during class, most students go to Nurse Leblanc because they know her attentive care will always be there to comfort them.
11:57- By the time second lunch was coming to an end, over 20 students had visited the office a relaxed day compared to others!
12:09- Students who are administered medications, whether it be aspirin for a headache or a supplement for diabetes, all students have to be monitored for a time period afterwards.
12:15- Some students eat their lunch in the room to be with friends and have a quiet period to themselves.
