My point of view of a new student at OA

October 31, 2018 By The Daily Olivian

Hey there! I’m Brianna Bell, a new student at OA and a sophomore.

Coming into the school the staff made sure I knew my way around, the school isn’t really big and it was easy to memorize. I’ve been new so many time that I’ve learned to adapt quickly. I want to share with you what my first impression of OA was as a new student.

The students kind of just minded their own, like freshman year they found their groups and wanted to keep it like that. I was alone at gym and some girls just came up and started a conversation. I’ve never really had a hard time making friends so I don’t know why I was so shy at first and still kind of am.

At lunch the students are very kind. I would sit alone and someone would come up and they would ask me to sit with them. I believe joining clubs or a sports team can really help you find your place, at an school environment or even just reaching out. The school has a good environment and amazing school spirit.

I look forward to making more friends and getting involved.
