The Oliver Ames Europe Trip will be during April vacation and students from Oliver Ames will be spending 10 days traveling from Venice, Italy, to Vienna, Austria, Salzburg, Austria, and Prague in the Czech Republic.
The students depart Thursday, April 11, 2019 and the trip will begin Friday, April 12, 2019 in the beautiful Italian city, Venice. After enjoying two days of traditions, landmarks, and cultures, the Oliver Ames tourists will travel to Salzburg, Austria. Two days later, students will be in Vienna, the capital of Austria. The first day in Vienna consists of learning how to make a delicious treat and students will visit sites where famous musical artists once either lived or composed. The Oliver Ames group will then arrive in their final destination on their Europe trip, Prague, in Czech Republic.
Mia Adams, a sophomore at Oliver Ames, is planning on going the Europe trip and explained how enthusiastic she was.
“I would never have been able to do this in the past,” she exclaimed, “I am really excited…as of right now, I think I will enjoy Venice the most because I have always wanted to go to Italy.”
Mrs. Hadge, One of the trips advisers and a High School English teacher at Oliver Ames, commented on a few topics surrounding the trip.
“(Students) only need money for lunch, any souvenirs that might have the city’s name on them, or for tickets for a play in the city that looks exciting and fun,” as well as mentioning that “once the trip gets closer, more information about direct packing for weather and such will be explained. I love every place we’ve been, and this year the itinerary is really one of our favorites, it will be an exciting experience…I wish everybody could do international travel at some point in high school.”
