Senior Night for high school athletes is something you look forward to all year and won’t forget for a long time. It is where all the fans come out, the bleachers are shaking, and your family is there to support you. It is a night where you go 110% on the field for your team and your fans, which is exactly what the boys soccer team did on Tuesday night on the turf.
There were questions going into the season about the boys soccer team as they lost so many players who graduated and now are a very small team physically. However, the Tigers have all stepped up this season to once again become one of the best teams in the hock. They certainly did not disappoint on Senior Night where they defeated Attleboro 2-0 led by captains Sean Flaherty and Niko Byron.
Sean said, “It was a great game and was awesome to have a lot of support from our fans and school which drove us to the win and hyped us up.”
The victory was aided by goals from Anthony DaCosta and Colin Milliken. Jacob Lerman put forth another amazing effort in goal with another shutout.
The boys are now 6-1-5 and tournament bound. Sean reflected on the game by saying, “We have worked hard so far and are really excited to see where we go in the future.”
Due to their performance thus far the team is expected to do well in the remainder of the season and in the tournament. However, they could still use our support so go out and cheer them on.
