The boys soccer team appears to be unstoppable after easily defeating Whitman Hanson in their first playoff game. With a pair of great saves from Jack Carroll, and four goals by the offense, OA dominated the field by controlling the game both offensively and defensively. Goals were scored by James Gillespie, Michael Nikiciuk (2), and Jack Sheldon. Of course the Hock MVP, Nathaniel Cardoza, was controlling the game from the middle. The “Chirpin Tighas,” were as rowdy as ever, with a fully packed fan section, and roaring chants, only fueling their fire (Chants were always positive of course). The field was definitely tilted towards the home team tonight, only demonstrating how tough it will be to take down the Tigers. Although they were expected to win the game, the shutout, and ease of the win, would frighten me if I were facing them in the next round. They will play this Thursday again at home and although who they are playing and at what time has yet to be announced, it will certainly be an entertaining game. Be there to support the team ad have a great time!
