Although this week had the least amount of events in the school year so far, it was by far the most important one. The playoffs started up and three of our teams played, and unfortunately all three ended in OA being defeated.
Volleyball lost in a tough match to Brockton last week, the score being 3-1. It ended what was a miraculous comeback season by the Tigers who never gave up and always showed fight, through the ups and downs.
Field Hockey was another team whose season unfortunately came to an end last week. They finished the regular season with a great record and were anticipated to do well in playoffs but were unlucky in a close game, losing 1-0 at the hands of Taunton.
Girls Soccer also lost this Sunday to King Phillip 3-0 in what was a tough game for the girls. They were unable to get much going and it was a shame that such a good season had to come to an end so soon.
Although OA is off to a rough start in the postseason thus far, there is till hope. Boys soccer will go up against Whitman Hanson at home this Tuesday and XC will have several important races this week. Also, we wish the seniors the best of luck as they go on to college and we hope they are able to continue in whatever sport they love. If you see them in the halls; congratulate them on a great season!
