Oliver Ames has demonstrated that they have improved over the course of the past few months and are ready for the class meet next Saturday. The majority of the team ran their last race on Saturday November 4th at the coach’s state invitational meet. With nothing left to lose, every OA runner gave it everything they had and their were many personal records all around.
Coach Kyle Sousa explains, “The number one thing I am proud of about Oliver Ames Cross Country, is no matter which runner is at the starting line, whether number 1 runner or 92nd, will try their absolute hardest.”
After three months of running almost every day, every OA runner has improved immensely and had a very successful season. Oliver Ames will attempt to move onto States next weekend as they compete at class. Hockomock all-stars Zane Reservitz and Jason Windvogel on the boy’s side and Elizabeth Peckham and Madeline Peckham on the girl’s side are looking to lead Oliver Ames after the season’s hard work.
If Oliver Ames places within top four at class meet on November 11, 2017, they will continue on to compete at States.
We wish them good luck the rest of the season and hope the seniors continue to race as they go off to college.
