Girls Soccer: 11 Wins, 7 Losses. Over the past two weeks the girls have somewhat struggled, going 2-3 in their last 5 games. However, they still have a great record, one in which will lead them to the playoffs. Hopefully they will be able to bring back what we saw during their 4 game winning streak midway through this season, and win a Hockomock championship. Their playoff games are a must watch, so everyone go support!
Boys Soccer: 11 Wins, 4 Ties, 2 Losses. The boys soccer regular season is over as well, and they were able to finish with only 2 losses. 1 of them came in these past 2 weeks, against Attleboro in a game they easily could have won but were unlucky. This past Friday they played their most important game of the season to see who would be the best in the Hock against Mansfield. The end result was a tie, but it still placed Oliver Ames at first place in the Hock. Seedings and dates for playoffs come out soon and when they do, make sure you come out to their first game!
Football: 3 Wins, 5 Losses. Although football has been off to a rocky start this season, they were really able to bounce back against Norton this past Friday. They blew them out 42-8 off of 3 touchdowns from runningback Anthony Berkza, who rushed for 210 yards throughout the game. Hopefully this win will lead to more success for the boys as they are hunting for another victory this Friday at home. Be there!
Golf: 15 Wins, 0 Losses. Surprise, surprise. OA golf has yet another perfect season, going undefeated this year. They showed pure domination this whole year, and did a good job of not getting too cocky, even though they were easily beating every opponent. However, they only finished second in the Hock championship, which was somewhat of a dissapointment, as many expected a first place finish. Regardless, they still finished a great year and we wish all the Seniors the best as they make their way to college this year.
Field Hockey: 10 Wins, 3 Ties, 5 Losses. OA Field Hockey’s regular season came to an end this past week, and they finished with a spectacular record. They bounced back from 3 straight losses to win 3 out of their next 4 and finish off the season strong. They tied for third in the Hock which means they will participate in playoffs. Come support them during the postseason as they hope to continue their hot streak that they have been on recently.
Volleyball: 11 Wins, 9 Losses. Although the season looked lost the first 6 games of the season, the girls were truly a story of the comeback kids. They finished the season an amazing 11-3 and won the past 5 games with ease. They hope to continue the roll they have encountered recently into the postseason. They have moved back into the top 5 in the Hock and even clinched a spot in the state tournament.
Cross Country: Girls (3 Wins, 2 Losses) and Boys (2 Wins, 3 Losses). The OAXC regular season has ended, however invitational season in still in full swing. This past Saturday the two teams competed at the Hockomock League Championships in Wrentham, with both the boys and the girls team placing 3rd in the Hock. Next week the team will compete in the MSTCA Coaches Invitational, also held in Wrentham.
