The fans of Easton got what they wanted to see when Oliver Ames hosted Bedford for their season opener on Friday, September 8th. The Tigers beat Bedford 32-21 in a long, hard-fought game. Anthony Berksza had an outstanding performance with a total of four rushing touchdowns to lead OA to the win. The Tigers are looking to make a big turnaround from last season when they finished 2-8. When asked about last season, wide receiver Ethan Eckstrom responded, āIād say last season was a little disappointing because it never feels good to lose after all the hard work we put through the offseason. However, I do think we look a lot different this year due to previously younger kids stepping up and filling big positions, internal changes within the team, and also the fact that our team culture is getting stronger and more tight-knit as we train for this season.ā The Tigers had a great performance under the new lights at Oliver Ames, and could not have had a much better start to the season. Oliver Ames will next play at Silver Lake on Friday, September 15th at 7pm.
