Do you like green eggs and ham? How about musicals? This weekend Oliver Ames is putting on its spring production of Seussical the Musical! What better way to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ upcoming birthday than to attend the show?
The storyline is a wonderful compilation of several famous Dr. Seuss stories, from Horton Hears a Who to Miss Gertrude McFuzz and more! Originally debuting in 2000, the story is hilarious, hopeful, sad, and amusing all at the same time. It is a must-see for anyone who grew up listening to Dr. Seuss books, anyone who has read them to their children or grandchildren, and even anyone who’s never heard of Dr. Seuss before… essentially, it is adored by audiences of all ages and types!
With characters ranging from the humble Horton the Elephant to the eccentric Sour Kangaroo, everyone will be able to find at least one personality they relate to and love. With the whole adventurous plot narrated by The Cat in the Hat himself, this is one production you will not want to miss.
The shows are on Friday, March 3rd at 7:30 pm; Saturday, March 4th at 2:00 pm; Saturday, March 4th at 7:30 pm; and Sunday, March 5th at 7:30 pm. With four opportunities to see the show, you’ve just got to go!
